Charu Goel is a senior registered psychologist with extensive experience delivering psychotherapy and psychological interventions across private practice, hospitals and the not-for-profit sector. She works primarily from a psychodynamic psychotherapy framework, supporting clients to explore internal patterns, emotional regulation and relationship dynamics. Charu has worked with both adolescents and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds and has a well-developed understanding of trauma-informed recovery.
Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, personality disorders, grief, life transitions and relational challenges. Charu is also trained in CBT, interpersonal therapy and client-centred approaches, which she adapts to meet each client’s unique needs. She has contributed to psychoanalytic research, taught university-level psychology and supervised practitioners working with refugee communities.
