Lara Kocijan is a registered clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting adults through their own transformative personal evolutions. With a warm and attentive approach, Lara focuses on creating a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship, helping clients explore how to build a deeper connection with themselves, others and the way they move through the world.
She works from a foundation of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Lara has extensive experience working with mood and anxiety disorders, life transitions and relationship concerns, with a strong philosophy of patient-centred care and long-term recovery.
Lara has held clinical and leadership roles across private and hospital settings, including South Pacific Private and The Indigo Project. She currently provides psychological care in private practice, as well as individual and group DBT programs, and teaches undergraduate psychology at the Australian Catholic University.
